Shipping Policy
Kitchen Equip SA supplies commercial kitchen, catering, bakery, butchery, refrigeration, gas and stainless-steel equipment to businesses across South Africa. Delivery is arranged nationwide on every order.
Delivery times
For stocked items our standard delivery is 4–5 business days, made up of:
- 1 business day handling — picking, checking and preparing the order for dispatch, once payment has cleared and reflected
- 3–4 business days in transit — courier time to your delivery address
Business days are Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays. Delivery time is counted from the point payment reflects in our account, not from when the order is placed.
When it takes longer
Some orders fall outside the standard window, and we confirm the expected date at the time of order rather than leaving you to guess:
- Remote and outlying areas can add time to courier transit
- Large or heavy equipment — coldrooms, large refrigeration, long stainless benching — is moved by freight rather than courier and is booked in with you
- Items brought in to order depend on supplier availability, and we quote a realistic date rather than an optimistic one
Large and freight deliveries
Larger items are booked in rather than left at a door. Please tell us at the time of order about stairs, narrow passages, lift dimensions or a restricted loading area, so we can arrange transport that suits the site. Please make sure somebody is available to receive and check the delivery.
Customers should make sure delivery details are accurate and that the receiving site can safely accept the product. Some items require professional installation, or suitable electrical or gas supply, before they can be used.
Delivery costs
Delivery cost depends on product size, weight, destination and whether special handling or freight is required. Where a delivery charge applies, it is confirmed with you before the order is processed — you will not be charged for delivery without being told the amount first.
Checking before you order
Most delivery problems trace back to the site rather than the equipment. Before ordering, confirm the footprint against the space available, the delivery route including doorway widths and turning space, and the electrical or gas supply. If you need delivery confirmation before ordering, contact us and we will help check the best available option.
Returns
Return requests must be made within 7 days of delivery. Approved returns are free of charge, and refunds are processed within 7 days of the returned item being received and approved. Full terms are in our refund policy.
