The GFR260DB Zero Gas Electric Side By Side Double Bin Chest Freezer - 236L is supplied by Kitchen Equip SA as part of our Chest Freezers range, priced at R7 825. It is intended for commercial use rather than domestic duty, and is delivered anywhere in South Africa.
The product name states 236 litre capacity and a double, chest format format. Those are the figures we publish for this unit; if you need a dimension or rating that is not listed, contact us before ordering and we will confirm it with the supplier. Images are shown for illustration and specifications can vary between production batches. Please confirm anything critical with us before you order.
Think about how often the door will be opened. A unit on a busy service line loses far more cold air than one used for back-of-house storage. There are 17 other Chest Freezers products listed, so compare before settling on this one.
Check the plug point before delivery. Refrigeration draws a start-up surge well above its running load, and sharing a circuit with other equipment can trip it. At 236 litres, capacity is the figure to check against your own batch size.
Maintenance is condenser cleaning, seal checks and a clear drain. None of it takes long, and all of it prevents the failure that costs you a fridge full of stock. Being gas-fired, it needs a certified installation and the correct supply — factor that into the cost.
A short check before ordering saves most problems: the space available and the delivery route into the room, the gas type, supply pressure and who will certify the installation and that the capacity matches your peak requirement rather than your average. None of it takes long.
See the rest of the Chest Freezers range or the broader Refrigeration department for other options. GF120 Zero Gas Electric Chest Freezer - 120L and CS316 Fridgestar Chest Freezer - 250LT are worth comparing alongside it.
Compared against the other 18 products in Chest Freezers, this sits in the middle at 14th by price. Prices in the category span R2 575 to R40 049, which is worth checking before deciding.
Delivery on an item this size is arranged rather than couriered. Tell us about stairs, narrow passages, lift dimensions or a restricted loading bay when you order so transport is booked to suit the site.
This product is supplied new unless the listing states otherwise. Warranty and return terms are set out in our store policies and operate alongside your rights under the Consumer Protection Act. Brand names shown belong to their respective owners.
